Hello world?!?
You ever wonder who came up with the phrase “Hello world”?
Let’s find out shall we.

“..the tradition of using the phrase “Hello world!” as a test message was influenced by an example program in the book The C Programming Language. The example program from that book prints “hello, world” (without capital letters or exclamation mark), and was inherited from a 1974 Bell Laboratories internal memorandum by Brian Kernighan, Programming in C: A Tutorial..”
Yep! That’s what I thought. I first encountered that phrase more than a decade ago. And when I think of it now, all I can say is, some geek must be pretty proud of himself right now for coming up with that programming phrase.
When you see this guy, give him a pat on the back.
So what else can I say.. “Hello world” =)
