..and my wife loves him in “A Knight’s Tale“. What a tragedy, because Ledger is one one of those few in Hollywood who can really act. Will have to watch Ledger’s last flick “Dark Knight” this year.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Actor Heath Ledger was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on Tuesday, possibly of a drug overdose, New York City police said.
The Australian-born Ledger, 28, who was nominated for an Oscar two years ago for “Brokeback Mountain,” was found dead by a housekeeper at his apartment in the trendy SoHo neighborhood, police spokesman Paul Browne said.

Ashley Qualls does not look like a typical high school student. Maybe that is so because the 17-year-old girl runs her own million-dollar online business. Ashley heads whateverlife.com, a website she started when she was just fourteen with eight dollars borrowed from her mother. Now the site shows a return in nearly one million dollars a year. With this money Ashley bought a big house with an office on the ground floor.
Ashley became interested in graphic design just as the online social networking vogue began. She designed Myspace.com layouts for her friends. The designs turned out cheery and colorful with lots of heart shapes, Ashley’s favorites. She also pulled quotes from popular songs which reflected the website theme. Whateverlife.com created 3,000 designs, a third of which Ashley made herself.

(CNN) — Authorities have fired an official in central China after city inspectors beat to death a man who filmed their confrontation with villagers, China’s Xinhua news agency reports.
The killing has sparked outrage in China, with thousands expressing outrage in Chinese Internet chat rooms, often the only outlet for public criticism of the government.
The incident has also alarmed advocates of press freedom, who say municipal authorities had no right to attack a man for simply filming them.
Police have detained 24 municipal inspectors and are investigating more than 100 in the death of Wei Wenhua, a 41-year-old construction company executive, Xinhua reported on Friday.
