Before this spins into another “Flor Contemplacion” incident, people (Singaporeans and foreigners alike) should know that when you do your crime here in Singapore, you are punishable by Singapore law.

It’s not that Singapore is merciless when it comes to criminals. It’s just that you shouldn’t be that stupid to do your criminal acts here and expect leniency.

“It’s just that you shouldn’t be that stupid to do your criminal acts here and expect leniency.”

You have a point here except… how sure are you that the accused actually is guilty?

there aren’t even any articles as to why he is the suspect.

You’re last remark is just plain reckless and insensitive.

    Thanks for your comment.

But “Reckless and insensitive”, sure sure. Tell that to Bernard Montemayor and the thousands of OFWs who are affected here by this case.

Keep your eyes on the ball. Not on me.

  3. Arch. McRAIG Says:

I’m just saying, you could be saying the wrong things to the wrong guy.

Get your facts first. There are always two sides to a story.

We cannot imagine what Bernard’s family are going through. His death deserves justice.

But there’s also the other guy’s family who flew all the way here to Singapore, praying for the truth to come out.

Sure, thousands of OFWs here in SG are affected. But not as much as these two families.

  4. poypogi Says:

Oh I got my facts alright. Do you know why there’s not much details about this in the public? It’s because, unlike in the Philippines, criminal cases are not sensationalized in Singapore.

Secondly, please read my posting again. Which part did I ever say anything about the particular murderer(s) of Montemayor.

I was talking about criminals here in general.

Again, thanks for your comment. But please, do read the posting clearly.
