First of all, thanks baby!

I must have been a very good boy last week. Over the course of the weekend, my wife bought me the Transformers Optimus Prime Nightwatch and Masterpiece Starscream (US-version).

She even bought new shelves for me to put the rest of my toys in. Looks like I’m bringing home my Star Wars Unleashed from the office. That’s good.

One good thing about buying toys like these is that their value goes up after a year or two. So I’m making sure that they stay in their boxes till I pass it on to my kids. I just hope that I don’t get tempted to play with these toys. Especially the Transformers.

I wanted so much to play the Optimus Prime and Starscream, but I just couldn’t. Luckily, I passed by a shop that was selling these knock-off Nike Free 7.0 Transformers for $3. So I bought it and played with it instead. When my daughter saw me playing this, she asked me if she could bring it to school to show to her friends. So I’m not one to say no to her, especially now that I got her interested with the things that I like too.

The day after, she called me up to say sorry because she broke the Nike Transformer. It’s ok, I said. It’s suppose to anyway. Besides, transforming robots spoils easily with all those moving parts.

Anyway, I’m glad that my daughter and my wife are on board with me on this.

So what’s next? Hehehehe. I’m thinking..

Besides.. our new cabinet needs its spaces filled-in =)

Beware of FILIPINOS

In a perfect world, Singapore seems to be the best place to live in. A stable economy and a government that really works.

But we don’t live in a perfect world. That’s is why remarks such as this will often find its way into the open:

These days there are lot of filipinos in Singapore, occupying sales jobs, factory jobs, IT jobs etc etc., How come the Govt allow Filipinos to take up the sales jobs that a local singaporean can easily do? Its like whole philipines is shifting to Singapore. These fugging filipino arseholes are not only taking our jobs, but they will bully us in future. We have to worry about our children future. If this trend continues, we people will be left out and the standard of these foriengner arseholes life will be better than ours. Pls keep this in mind and never vote for this Govt again. We have to blame the local chinky baaastards also for recruiting filipinos instead of locals.

If you ask me, I think this is a pretty fair expression of one’s right to say whatever he wants to. It may have come from hatred or from an actual fact, but still, this Samurai69 has all the rights in the world to say every word he meant to.

But if there’s one thing that this particular forum pointed out, is that the main reason why Filipinos are more employable in Singapore is our good command of the English language (both written and spoken).

Eventhough that this is a classic racist remark, it’s all sticks and stones to me.
